[gdlr_image_link type=”image” image_url=”” link_url=”” alt=”” target=”_blank”]NASHVILLE. On Friday, September 16, Nashville will join cities across Tennessee and the world to celebrate the 11th anniversary of PARK(ing) Day.
Urban parking spaces will be transformed by community volunteers and art organizations into temporary pocket parks for social engagement, reflection, and traffic calming from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is always held on the third Friday of September.

PARK(ing) Day is an open-source global event that began in 2005 when Rebar, an art and design studio, converted a single metered parking space into a temporary public park in downtown San Francisco.
