Hardwood floor that has buckled

There’s nothing that can ruin a good hardwood floor faster than a bad installation and the pain of all that wasted time and money. Laying unfinished solid wood flooring is TOUGH and if you get just one step wrong, the whole project fails.

Think that the going is any easier with a prefinished, engineered wood? Not necessarily so. If you’re laying hardwood on a concrete surface, you must use a glue down engineered wood. The problem people usually have is in choosing the wrong glue. If you use a laytex glue instead of a poyurethane glue, the wood will absorb the water in the laytex and the whole floor can fail.
