FIRST Choose Color
Some people prefer very light wood, others a golden warm wood, and still others perfer their floors the darker the better. Narrow your choices first by choosing a color range.
SECOND Choose Texture
Some woods like Walnut have very little texture and others like Red Oak have quite a lot. Within the color range that you’ve already chosen, determine which texture works best for you.
THIRD Choose Width
Once you’ve narrowed down your choices by color and texture, you need to determine what width will work best for your home. Is wide plank your style, varied width, or something more delicate? Once you’ve answered this one, you’re home free.
