Next week artist and printmaker Todd Herzberg will begin showing his work at The Haley Gallery, Hatch Show Print’s fine arts gallery that displays restrikes of original posters from the collection, as well as contemporary interpretations of Hatch’s classic wood blocks by national and local artists.

Herzberg is the co-founder of the Lexington Guild of Printmakers and is currently the President of the University of Kentucky’s Print Club, Back Alley Press. He received his BFA from Central Michigan University in 2012 and is currently an MFA candidate at the University of Kentucky. Herzberg works predominantly in the print processes of relief and lithography but recently began the incorporating animation and installation. Together, the result creates complex stories with absurdist overtones while exploring themes of self-esteem, coming of age, maleness and aging.

Herzberg’s work had been displayed across the country and abroad, including at the Artist Image Resource in Pittsburgh, the Hilo Gallery at the University of Hawaii, and the Bolivar Gallery at the University of Kentucky.

Herzberg’s show runs April 7-May 27, 2018.
